Our body needs water for hydration similarly our face needs its water. To maintain water balance or for hydration of our face we need to follow three steps i.e., first clean your face with mild face wash, secondly tone your face with a toner which helps to maintain PH balance of our face and third step involves moisturising your skin with vitamin and nutrient based moisturisers which nourishes our face. After every wash of your face application of toner is very important because after face wash it cleanses the dirt of pollution or makeup or oil from the clogged pores of your skin by opening the pores, toner helps to close those open pores of the skin which helps to prevent the deposition of dirt into the pores of your skin and application of a good moisturiser is necessary to soothe the skin as well as creates a barrier against the harmful rays, pollution or dirt.

Choose your face wash, toner and moisturiser?

Next step before choosing your face wash always find out texture/type of your skin. There are different types of skin that is dry, oily, combination and sensitive. After knowing your skin texture/ type then select a face wash of your skin type but always try to pick face washes which are free from harsh chemicals like paraben, sulphate etc. Those who have oily skin must pick tea tree based face washes, toners and moisturisers and those who have dry skin should select face washes which are moistured based as well as vitamin and nutrient based. Tea tree are known for its goodness that it helps to prevent rashes or pimple or acne on skin and keeps face free from irritation as well as tea tree is also good for sensitive skin. A moistured based face wash is recommended for dry skin because after face wash with a soap or normal face wash it dries the skin and makes the skin rough and harsh,and such dryness can be controlled by a moistured based face washes.

Must do CTM (Cleansing Tonning & Moisturising) everyday

One should practice CTM everyday on their regular life. Daily skin care routine is incomplete if either of any of the steps of CTM has been missed while doing regular face cleansing. The CTM is recommended for both male and female. Food is essential for our body likewise cleansing, toning and moisturising is very important for a clear, spotless and healthy skin because if you miss toning your face with a toner after washing your face the pores of your face will remain open and the dirt/ pollution will accumulate on those pores of the skin as well as it will clog those pores which will cause pimple/acne. So after cleansing your face use a toner of your skin type and then moisturise your face which will help to lock the hydration/water of your face. Always select face wash, toner and moisturiser according to your skin type, the right selection of CTM products does 20% of your good skin.

How many times in a day one should do CTM?

Every individual should keep their face clean on regular basis. One should do CTM in Four times a day, first CTM must be done in the morning after wakeup, second CTM must be done in the afternoon, third CTM must be done in the evening and last but not the least fourth CTM to be done before going to bed i.e., after dinner but before sleep. The working people should do CTM at least three times a day i.e., first CTM in the morning, Second in the evening after coming from office and Third CTM before bedtime. It is also recommended to splash room temperature water on your face in intervals which will help to calm down your skin and also would remove the dirt on the surface of your skin.

How to do CTM?

Wet your face with room temperature water take a small amount of face wash on your palm then rubb it on your palm and apply it on your face. Apply the face wash on your face in circular motion then rinse it with plain normal temperature water then pat dry your face gently and do not rubb your face. After cleansing your face take a cotton ball then pour some drops of toner on it and apply on your entire face specially on the area of your nose. When toner absorbs completely in your face then apply a generous amount of moisturiser.

Benefits of CTM

Regular practice of CTM keeps our face hydrated, helps to eradicates pimples/ acne, skin becomes spotless and radiant. The CTM creates skin barrier against harmful rays and pollution as such protects skin from dirt/pollution. The face does not get tanned by doing CTM in regular basis. Our face tends to dry after face wash and thereafter our face becomes dull so after face wash if toner and moisturiser is applied the current condition of your face will not deteriorate. Everyday CTM helps to maintain our skin to a radiant glowing skin and it also delays aging.

Disadvantages of CTM

If CTM is not done routinely then the skin texture of the face would become dry, harsh, cause pimple/ acne, it will cause tan to your skin as exposure of your skin to pollutant air would oxidise the surfaces of your skin, the dryness or oiliness of your face would tend to increase and eventually deteriorate your skin condition.

Conclusion 

Cleansing, toning and moisturising are three steps for our healthy glowing face/skin. Every individual must include CTM in their routine life or at least splash normal water frequently on face/skin.  Apart from CTM, a good diet or food habit is very important because whatever good you will eat it will reflect on your face and it is also recommended that 3 liters of water a day keeps your face glowing and radiant. Avoid eating fries, spicy and oily food on your regular diet instead
include fresh fruits, green vegetables, ghee/ clarified butter in certain amount to your diet. Water also helps to flush out toxins from our system and helps to keep our skin healthy. So, a good food diet, fruits, water are other essentials of your good skin and CTM is must for every individual on everyday basis.
